Norbar torque wrenches are offered either with a ratchet (in a few cases, a fixed square drive, non- ratcheting head) or as a “Torque Handle” which is a system that allows the interchanging of head fittings from a range which includes: ratchets, open ends, ring ends and flare ends (sold separately).

Most torque wrenches are equipped with a scale and are set by the operator. This is known as an Adjustable torque wrench.

Alternatively, there is no scale and the wrench is set against a torque measuring device (sold separately). The setting mechanism is then covered by a cap. This is known as a Production or ‘P’ Type torque wrench.

Most Norbar torque wrenches are equipped with a dual units scale, normally Nˑm and lbfˑft. However, if only one unit of measure will ever be encountered then it may be preferable to select a single scale option.

Documentation Type

All Norbar torque wrenches are supplied with a document that states how individual wrench performance compares with a calibrated measuring device. Terms such as “calibration” are defined by the International Standards Organisation and only documentation conforming to their definition can be described as a “Certificate of Calibration”. Most Norbar torque wrenches are issued with a “Declaration of Conformance” which declares that the wrench in question conforms to EN ISO 6789- 1:2017 (Part 1) and includes readings taken from the wrench at points across its operating range (normally 20%, 60% and 100% of the scale). Other torque wrenches in the Norbar range, including those described as “Professional” torque wrenches (except Model 5) are supplied with a Certificate of Calibration meeting the requirements of EN ISO 6789-2:2017 (Part 2). The compact dimensions of this range allows excellent access and easy, safe handling with a guaranteed accuracy of better than +/-4%, up to 7000 N·m.

All Compact Series multipliers are supplied with a calibration certificate.

Compact Series

The Standard Series of HandTorque multipliers have a guaranteed accuracy of +/-4%, and electronic torque transducers can be fitted for precise torque monitoring.

Models available up to 300,000 N·m and other reaction styles can be designed to suit specific applications.
